A coworker of mine makes these (for realz) and sells them for $30 or so. Pretty cool stuff (the real ones, that is). They look much better than what I attempted here.

A Gear
So right after spraining my brain to do this I learn that Blender has a gear script. Sweet.

My First Head! (Wait, that doesn't sound right ...)
This is actually my second head (okay, stop snickering already), but the first one I tried by block modeling and sculpting and I just don't have the chops for that yet. So, this time I went the vertex/edge/face extrusion route against a reference photo (front and profile). Worked out much better this time.

Happy Birthday! (No, not you)
Not sure how well this is going to work out, but I made this quick little birthday cake to print out for my daughter to color in and give to her grandma. We'll see.

A Worthy Kickstarter Project (imo)
Please consider supporting the "Wormworld Saga App" Kickstarter project by Daniel LIeske. I was just turned onto this today and his artwork is stunning. You don't have to pledge much - every bit helps and he is closing in on his goal, but the deadline is 3/31/2011.
